Leg-rowing fisherman at Inle Lake

Leg-rowing is a very typical way of rowing that one can only find at Inle Lake, Myanmar. At first we thought that maybe the fisherman we say had some kind of handicap, so he rowed with his leg, but when we saw them almost all doing it, we figured it was probably just the way they do it here.

Surprenante méthode d'aviron ou de godille, j'essaie de comprendre comment ils font. Je suis revenu plusieurs fois sur cette photo et sur l'autre pour en apprécier le calme. En se concentrant fortement sur la vue, on entend presque le bruit du clapot provoqué par les mouvements du pêcheur et de sa "pirogue".
